National Knowledge Week for Antenatal Care

(1st - 7th October 2007)

National Knowledge Weeks contain recent, relevant evidence and summaries written by health professionals, on particular topics. The Screening Specialist Library and the Women's Health Specialist Library welcome you to the National Knowledge Week on Antenatal Care 1st -7th October 2007.

Stakeholder Event
(Oct 2006)

The Stakeholder Event was held on 20th October, Portcullis House Westminster. The main aim of which was to:

  • Announce that all newborns are now offered screening for sickle cell disorders and
  • Publicise the development of guidance for the care of children affected by sickle cell disorders and the need to develop a managed clinical network for sickle cell disorders

The event was hosted by the MP Sadiq Khan and chaired by Most Reverend and Right Honourable Dr John Sentamu, Archbishop of York.
